A Short History of the Motorfest.

  • The first Lardner Park Motorfest was held in 2010 .
  • It was developed as a joint initiative of the Gippsland Tuff Streeters, and the Drouin Rotary Club to provide an opportunity for safe on-track motorsport in the local area and raise funds for Rotary projects.
  • The Event is held to provide safe and fun entertainment, for Motorsport Lovers of all ages.
  • All profits from Motorfest go  to Rotary supported projects,  Locally, Nationally and Internationally.
  • Motorfest is the longest running event of its type in Eastern Victoria.
  • Events include Burnout Competition,Show’n Shine,  Go to Whoa and Stampede.
  • This will be our Eighth Annual Motorfest, with a crowd expected to exceed 4500 People over two days.
  • The event is organised and run by a committee of volunteers.
  • Many local businesses donate money, equipment or provide assistance.

The final Motorfest was held in 2017.
Plans were underway for the 2018 event but increases in prices, declining attendances, changes in Insurance arrangements and the continuing workload for coordinators of the event led to the decision to discontinue it.
